| Usage Steps | Application area For connecting seams and bonding vapour barrier films Overlapping seals for assembly parts on vehicles and roofs, façades and equipment construction, in the furniture and interior design industries, for sanitation and electrical installations and all similar applications Instructions Application instructions: The surfaces being sealed must be dry, sound and free from grease and dust The processing temperature must not be below +5°C Pre-treat absorbent and porous surfaces with Würth butyl/bitumen primer Press the butyl tape carefully onto the surface Pressing the sealing surfaces together results in a perfect seal. Butyl has a \\\\\\\"cold flow\\\\\\\" tendency (flow characteristic of the tape) Butyl products should therefore always be secured mechanically, e.g. screwing the parts, applying a press-on profile. When using a press-on profile, observe the profile manufacturer\\\\\\\'s specifications regarding the width of the butyl tape Using excessive contact pressure on the profile will \\\\\\\"squeeze out\\\\\\\" the sealing compound. Never compress butyl products absolutely flat (use the supplied disc as a spacer) |
